Pass on a lively faith
To remember St. Peter and St. Paul, the apostles are the foundation by which the cornerstone is Jesus Christ.
When Pope Paul VI opened the Year of Faith in 1967, he called for all Catholics to celebrate the faith passed from the apostles through Sacred Tradition and invites us to safeguard the teachings of the Church.
We are challenged to reflect on the quality of faith that we profess if it is faithful to that of the apostles. The Holy Father warns us of any negation of Christianity brought about by the changing times.
We are also called to inflame in our hearts a lively and fruitful faith and to pass on that faith to our children and the next generation.
