THERE IS LOVE IN THE SHEEPFOLD OF THE LORD

Your GNF for May 11, 2023, THU: EASTER WEEKDAY

Acts 15: 7-21/ Ps 96: 1-2a. 2b-3. 10/ Jn 15: 9-11

There’s a saying, “If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, he learns to find love in the world.”  Negatively, the poem starts with: “If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.”

We adults are responsible for the formation of the next generation.  Unfortunately, we can only share what we have.

It is fortunate that the Lord declared the unconditional and unwavering love of God while the rest of mankind continue to find fault in others and the world.  God remains steadfast in his love.  His love eventually saves us from sin, from ourselves, and from others.

Love eradicates sin: Jesus’ offering on the cross is far greater than all sin combined.

Love saves us from ourselves: It gives us the opportunity to look beyond ourselves and realize God’s love everywhere.

Love saves us from others: It helps us focus not on the condemnation of others but rather, helps us to fulfill our mission to save others through God’s love.

Love is eternal.
