Acts 16: 11-15/ Ps 149: 1b-2. 3-4. 5-6a and 9b/ Jn 15: 26 -- 16: 4a
“I have told you this so that you may not fall away.”
“If you consider me a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my home.”
One of the blessings the Lord gave us is the gift of work. We work to live. We live to work. We work to repair, to link, to build, to produce, and to be fruitful for ourselves and others.
There’s no stopping of work. Even after every calamity, we pick up the pieces, and we start working after the destruction.
We may be subjected to trials, but work is like therapy. We don’t wallow in helplessness. We continue building, creating, healing, and filling up for the life of all.
Such is God’s action. Amid the enveloping sin, separation, destruction, the Lord continues to build, goodness abounds, and love triumphs.
The work of Jesus continues. It is the work of salvation. Let’s continue to work for God and realize the fruit of work – the salvation of all.
